During the ‘We Care’ programme, children had learnt about the recent earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Through a series of lessons on this disaster, we seized the opportunity to teach our children about the importance of giving in time of need. Thus, the school had planned a follow up activity on “Aid for Japan” where children were encouraged to donate to Japan Quake and Tsunami Relief fund that was approximately equivalent to a McDonalds Happy Meal of $5.

We were encouraged by the children and families’ generous giving and together with the school’s effort, we managed to collect a total of $5070 to Mercy Relief Limited.
